With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Eleanor McLean in Thunder Bay, Ontario, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 26, 2026 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Hunnakko and Maime Hunnakko; her mother-in-law Martha McLean (Mattie); her former husband Adolph Tenkula; her son Darren Tenkula; and her siblings, Wesley Hunnakko, Diana Ilka and Helen Matthews.
She is survived by: her husband Bruce McLean; her children, Dwayne Tenkula (Mira Martins), Denise Tenkula (Bruno Rosenberg), Loralie Balec (Mark Balec) and Kerri McLean Debra (Jamie Landry); her daughter-in-law Janet Ruby; her siblings, Violet Maki, Ray Hunnakko and Leo Hunnakko; and her grandchildren, Robyn Tenkula (Corey), Nickolas Tenkula, Lance Hitz, Donovan Hitz, Sara Jansen (Kyle), Brooklyn Balec, Mika Tenkula, Ryan Tenkula, Christian Landry and Amelia Landry. She is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
