It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elli Nieminen (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away on September 19, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Pekka; and her parents, Josua Vihtari and Anna Julia Vihtari. She is survived by: her son-in-law Spirit Alive; her daughter Anita Fisher Eric (Roma); her grandchildren, Hannah, Natasha, Alissa and Aaron; and her sisters, Esteri and Eila. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and life-long friends.
