It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gisela Westrich (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away on October 30, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gisela Westrich to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Bauer and Gertrud Bauer; her former husband George Zimmer; her daughter Alice Zimmer; her sister Dagmar Rosgen; and her grandson Cory Culhane.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ramona Wallace (Mark) of Saskatchewan, Sandra Zimmer Thunder Bay (Brian Stubbs), Regina Zimmer (Mike Culhane) of Alberta and Linda Stanczyk Thunder Bay; her grandchildren, Alicia Blanchette (Bryan), Melissa Grona (Brian Sundell), Donald Wallace, Mitchell Culhane, Dustin Culhane, Shane Zimmer (Tina), Tracey Zimmer (Lesley), John Stanczyk and Matt Stanczyk; and her great grandchildren, Kaylee Blanchette, Colby Blanchette, Brooklyn Sundell, Taylor Zimmer (Justin), Morgan Zimmer (Connor), Jordan Zimmer (Alyssa) and Warren Zimmer (Alexandria).
Covid is a hard time, and although visits were restricted, and fewer than I would have liked, every minute I got to spend with my mom was cherished, and truly appreciated.
In lieu of flowers anyone wishing to make donations in Gisela's memory, can make them to the Alzheimer Society of Thunder Bay, Thunder Bay and District Humane Society, or the charity of their choice.
