She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellen Fulton (Nellie) and John Fulton; her husband Richard Joseph Postans; her siblings, Ellen Cook, Tom Fulton and Jim Fulton; her parents-in-law, Richard, Eva Postans, Connie Ogden, Patricia Postans, Walter Postans, Mary Fulton and Stan Cook; and her nephew Barry Cook.

She is survived by: her children, Nancy Nix (Chester), Garth Postans (Susan), Dr. Eli Nix (Sarah), Joshua Nix (Trina Heasman), Leah Nix (Yoan Soilen), Noah Nix, Ethan Postans (Mandy Mellerup) and Keenan Postans (Shauna McMullin); her great grandchildren, Hannah, Oscar and Finneus Nix; her sister Dorothy Walberg (Elwood); and her sisters-in-law, Violet Fulton and Margaret Postans. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
