He was predeceased by: his father Stanley; his grandparents, John Oksanen, Aino Oksanen, Toivo Jacobson and Vieno Jacobson; and his brother-in-law Charles Guitard.

He is survived by: his mother Elsie; his stepfather Arnold Kallio; and his siblings, Doug (Lori), Linda Guitard, Janet Jacobson and Tracey Winters (Dwight). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
