With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Margaret MacKinnon (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away on July 7, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Joe; her son Gary; her parents, John Eklund and Hilma Eklund; and her siblings, Oliver, Wilbert, Edna and Linnea.

She is survived by: her daughters, Holly, Sandra (Benji), Marilyn (Terry) and Bonnie (Derek); her grandchildren, Adam (Crystal), Matt, Hayley (Greg), Cory (Anca), Thomas (Alexandra), Alex (Cassidy) and Jordan (Sarah); her great grandchildren, Georgia, Malcolm, Cohen, Kaden and Morgan; and her close friend Reino Viitala. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

If desired, memorial donations made to PRO Kids Thunder Bay, an organization near and dear to her son Gary's heart, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
