It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ina Anna-Liisa Merritt (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away on June 18, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Ranta and Julia Ranta (Albert); her granddaughter Deni-Lee Merritt; her brothers, Edward, Paul, William, Waino, Sulo and Leonard; and her sisters-in-law, Marie Ranta, Ruth Hanna and Anna Merritt.
She is survived by: her son David (Arlene) of Langley, B. C.; her nephews, Ronald Ranta (Joyce), Richard Ranta (Jeanette) and Brian Ranta (Jane); and her extended family, Thelma Heikkinen Sr. and Thelma Heikkinen Jr.. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Thunder Bay and District Humane Society.
