It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Marie Nakonechny (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away on February 18, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her son Brian (Mervin); her parents, Annie Mendyk and Alex Mendyk; her aunts and uncles, Morris, Walter, Rose, Jeanette and Olga; and her sister-in-law Carol Mendyk.

She is survived by: her husband Mervin; her children, Dan and Lainie; her grandson Ryan; her great grandchild Victoria; her siblings, Dolly Dove (Mervin) and Bill Mendyk; and her sister-in-law Anne Scerba. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
