He was predeceased by: his brother Art; his wife Sharon; his granddaughter Marin Rumbelow; his parents, Mary (Shewchuk) and Dan (Dmetro); his parents-in-law, Svea and George Prout; his in-laws, Walter (Rose), Bill (Fran (Francis)), Art (Doris), Margaret (John Zaporzan), Linda (Dave Landgraff) and Butch Prout (Reginald); and his nieces, Jeanna Chepil-Coyle and JoAnn Chabot.

He is survived by: his children, Derrick and Maureen; his grandchildren, Kiel, Chandra and Svea Rene; his great grandchildren, Phoenix, Karmyn, Haleigh, Graeson, Kynzley and Arlowe; his nieces and nephews, Cheryl, Cathy, Danny, Janice, David, Miki, Kal, Jackie, Arthur Jr., Sandy, Darlene, Betty, John, Bob, Pam, Nick and Jamie; and his in-laws, Owen, Gary Prout, Gail and Gordon Jensen.
