He was predeceased by : his parents, Jacinto and Maria of Gloria Carvalho; his brother Bobby Carvalho; his parents-in-law, Ana De Jesus and Jose Rodrigues; his siblings, Maria Eduarda Tavares and Jacinto; his siblings-in-law, Francisco Tavares and Olga Carvalho; his son-in-law Ron Percy; his nephews, Durval, Jacinto Tavares and Paul Jorge Rodrigues; and his siblings-in-law, Gloria Cordiero, Manuel Medeiros and Manuel Rodrigues.

He is survived by : his wife Hirondina; his children, John (Margarida), George (Leslie), Jose, Anna (Ray) and Fatima (Kyle); his grandchildren, Andrew (Nicole), Amber (Keaton), Jordan (Courtney), Jayden (Chad), Michael (Katlyn), Marcus (Leah), Nicholas (Mikayla), Lucas (Manira), Kai and Brandon (Kayleigh); and his great grandchildren, Kinsley, Oakley, Blakely, Stetson and Dawson.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church (123 Hilldale Road, Thunder Bay, ON P7B5E3). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Anthony's R. C. Church (123 Hilldale Road, Thunder Bay, ON P7B5E3).
