He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Irene, Jack Kennedy and Steve; his father Jack; his in-laws, James and Beatrice Thomson; and his siblings-in-law, Don Thomson, Doug Thomson, Frank Sheare, John Thomson, Liz Thomson and Stella Thomson.
He is survived by: his wife Flora; his daughters, Charity Hamilton (Stan) and Janice Hakala (Dave); his granddaughter Makenna Hakala; his mother Sarah Kennedy; his siblings, Betty Kennedy (Cindy), Linda Aho (Brian), Jackie Myles (Kevin), Sandra Maley (Mike) and Jim Kennedy (Debra); his in-laws, Charlie Thomson, Dorothy Buchanan, George, Renee Thomson, Barb Thomson, Barb Sheare, Bill and Marguerite Thomson; and his nephews, Jamey Thomson, Michael Thomson, Jeffrey Aho and Jimbo Kennedy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre - Cardiac Care, Cancer Care or Diabetes Health, Thunder Bay and District Humane Society or The Underground Gym would be greatly appreciated.
