Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John William Hayes in Thunder Bay, Ontario, who passed away at the age of 86, on June 12, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Hayes and Margaret Hayes; his brother Murray Hayes; his sister-in-law Sharon Hayes; his parents-in-law, Paavo and Eevi Kraft; and his sister-in-law Lisa Kraft.

He is survived by: his wife Pirkko Kraft; his sons, Peter (Kim) and Bill; his granddaughter Nora Sisko; his siblings-in-law, Jouni Kraft (Deborah), Eeva Kraft, Veli Kraft, Anna Myyrylainen (Joel) and Marja Pehkonen (Raimo); and also Patricia Kucher (Bob). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
