John Young Obituary

It is with the utmost heartbreak that we announce the passing of our Dear Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Friend.

John passed away on December 16, 2025 at the St. Joseph's Hospice with his loving family by his side.

John worked at Great Lakes paper mill for 36 years. After his retirement he worked at St Andrew's church for 8 years as the custodian.
John loved spending time at camp during the summers with his family. He loved fishing, golfing, his walk abouts, riding his bike, going for breakfast at the casino and running.
John was predeceased by his Mother, Father, brothers and sisters.
John was a wonderful husband to Jean. Stepfather to Noel, Father to Tanya (Matt), Grandfather to Ethan (Raylene) Keely (Kameron), Hayden, Ryelee, Arabella and Kerah. Great Grandfather to Alice and Cassian. Loving brother to Gary (Sandy) young Bob (Audrey) Young and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Andrew's R.C Church Thunder Bay. Viewing will be at 9:00 am.
