He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sarah Moonias and Henry Kitchkeesic; his brother Clayton Moonias; his aunts and uncles, Denise Theresa Moonias, Elizabeth Moonias Sakanne, Bernadette Moonias, Ida Moonias Meeseetawageesic, Harriet Moonias Atlookan, Phillip Moonias, Wilfred Moonias, Allan Kitchkeesic, Steven Brian Kitchkeesic, Bobby Kitchkeesic and George Spade; his grandparents, Moise, Ceclia Moonias, Steven Quisses and Katie Wynn Kitchkeesic; and his aunts and uncles, Elise Moonias Mequanawap, Madilaine Moonias, Annett Moonias, Nancy Angela Moonias, Louisa Kitchkeesic Skeese, Charlie Moonias, Peter Moonias, Billy Wynn and Victor Kitchkeesic. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joshua's honour may be made to the Indigenous Friendship Centre, Thunder Bay Counselling Centre, or a charity for alcohol awareness.
