It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kaija Hiiback (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away on December 1, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Kaija Hiiback to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Erkki Latvio and Siiri Latvio (Unto); her brother-in-law Topi Vahaaho; and her nephew Ray Vahaaho. She is survived by: her husband Unto; her son Timo (Arja); her grandchildren, Katrina (Evan) and Alex (Alexia); her great grandchildren, Tessa and Isla; her sister Vappu Vahaaho; her siblings-in-law, Terttu Sheppard (Mervyn) and Tauno Hiiback (Sonya); and her niece Christina Kantyluk (John, family: Finland). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.
