With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kauko Einar Viitala (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away on December 24, 2022 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Kalle Viitala and Anni Viitala (Moomu); his sons, Peter and David Viitala (Alen Olsen); his uncles, Kauko and Joe; his wife Jennie; his sister Aino Neimi (late Alfred); his aunt Diane Rantala (late Kauko); his brother-in-law Jack Nemec (late Helen); his cousin Irmeli Siivonen (late Eiro); and his nieces and nephews, Debbie Saunders (David Saunders), Wendy Traintinger (David Traintinger), Ronald Rantala (Mary-Louise Rantala), Torsti Landvik, Jackie Nemec (Larry Bakk), Susan Nemec and Angela Rupert.
