He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Poulter and Francis Poulter; his sister Linda Mills; and his nephew Scott Poulter. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Poulter; his children, Lindsey Poulter, Jesse Poulter and Megan Yakymovych (Oleg); his grandchildren, Avery, Jerrick, Maksym, Olan and Lukas; his siblings, Fred Poulter (Susan) and Valerie Zeleny (Dan); his brother-in-law Alan Mills (Barb); and also Erin Mantis.
