He was predeceased by: his son Douglas; his parents, Henry Luther and Marie (Gnitt); his stepfather Mike Senyk; and his sister Liz Nixon.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Florene (Gray); his children, Cathee Edwards (Geoff), Martin (Edie), Paul (Sandi) and Cheryl Simmons (Doug); his grandchildren, Kim (Mike), Thomas (Lauren), Annie (Tom), Daniel (Megan), Alex, Caitlin, Taylor, Connor and Graydon; his brother John Senyk (late Irene); and his brothers-in-law, Wilfred Gray (Jackie) and Bill Covello (Lorna). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
