She was predeceased by: her parents, Piacentina (Cherinto) and Lina; her husband Robert; and her brother Bruno. She is survived by: her children, Rochelle (Shaune), Roberta, Laurie Coates (John), Michael and Paul (Amy); her sister Julie (Ralph); her aunt Ida; her grandchildren, Jessica, Emily, Nicole (Alec), Chantel (Braidyn), Brandon (Karen) and Christopher; and her great grandchildren, Conor and Sonny. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Renal Hemodialysis Fund at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation in memory of Lina Mayer.
