He was predeceased by: his parents, John Johnston and Christina Johnston (Bremner); and his siblings, Helen Wilson (Bill), Verna Lindstrom (Johnny), Wanda Eckman (Bill), Doris Filino (Larry) and Glen Johnston (Verta).
He is survived by: his former wife Ethel Sault; his siblings-in-law, Barbara Kukko and Cliff Ojala; his wife Sharon Johnston; his children, Kevin (Sandra), Susan Raymond (Steven) and Stacey; and his close friends, Henry and Annie Atkins. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
