Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Manuel leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his wife Irene; and his father Berchmans Francis. He is survived by: his children, Manuela Carreiro (Mario), Anna Costa (John), Emanuel Sousa (Monique), Ilda Lucio, Carmen Sousa (Duarte) and Gorette Atkinson (Thomas Suel). He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 8:00 AM at the Waverley Chapel (299 Waverley St, Thunder Bay, ON P7B5Z7). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Andrew's R. C. Church (292 Red River Rd, Thunder Bay, ON P7B1A8).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Andrew's R.C. Church Building Fund or to the Kidney Foundation of Canada in Manuel's name.
