It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maria Pacheco (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away on May 29, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Francisco Pacheco; her parents, Manuel Pimentel Carvalho and Maria; her parents-in-law, Francisco and Beatriz Pacheco; and her son-in-law Bill Horde Jr..

She is survived by: her daughters, Anna Arruda (Jaime), Natalia Furtado (Jose) and Isabel Pacheco (Patrick S.); her grandchildren, Jeffrey (Maria-Teresa), Elizabeth (Lance), Michael (Natasha), Ryan, Abby and Ava; her great grandchild Avery; and her sisters, Ilda Freitas (Abilio) and Margarida Batista. She is also survived by numerous sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19 gathering restrictions, a private family service will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 in EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
