She was predeceased by: her parents, Rita Wabason and Oliver Peters; her grandmother Marie Wabason; and her in-laws, Charlie and Helen Shapwaykeesic.
She is survived by: her husband Herman Shapwaykeesic Sr.; her children, Herman Jr., Chantal and Patrick Wabason; and her grandson Lestat Fisher. She is also survived by her aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins and her in-laws and their children.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at 4:00 PM at the Sargent & Son Chapel (21 Court St N, Thunder Bay, ON P7A4T4). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Snows R C Church (21 Court St N, Thunder Bay, ON P7A4T4). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at the Hillside Cemetery.
