With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Mario Michieli (Thunder Bay, Ontario), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Mario left this world on June 15, 2024 at the age of 62, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his father Ferruccio Michieli; and his brother John. He is survived by: his mother Lina Michieli; his children, Gabriella (Adam) and Nicholas (Beth); the mother of his children Lorraine; his sisters, Marisa Kubinec (Mike), Julie Michieli Eileen (Max), Chris Kelos and Lisa (Jim Muccilli); and his parents-in-law, Maria Chies and Tony Pigat. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

If family and friends desire, in lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may include donations to the Mario Michieli Memorial Fund at Lakehead University to create an award for students.
