Martti Olavi Puumala Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Martti Olavi Puumala (Thunder Bay, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 31, 2026 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Aino Puumala and Lauri Puumala; his wife Evelyn Peuramaki; and his brothers, Matti and Paul.

He is survived by: his son Mark; his daughter-in-law Moira; his granddaughters, Emily and Lauren; his son Jamie; his daughter-in-law Bonnie; his siblings, Helena (Dale Olausen), Kyllikki "Kaye" Stein (Ron), Riitta Jonassen, Mauri (Tarja), Arvo (Sandra) and Jorma (Anneke); and his sister-in-law Joyce. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
