He was predeceased by: his wife Maddalena; his son Nick; his parents, Nicola Perna and Maria Perna; his parent-in-law Dominic; his siblings-in-law, Filomena, Bartolomeo Silvano, Vicenzo and Antonio Foglia; and his sibling's children, Renato Mena and Anna Silvano.

He is survived by: his daughters, Maria and Felicetta; his daughter-in-law LeeAnn Perna; his grandchildren, Alexandra and Matthew; his great grandchild Ethan Bailey; and his siblings, Tony Perna (Teresa), Bart Perna (Jackie), Caroline Vacchiano (Antonio), Imaculatta Foglia and Vinneranda Cavezza (Felice). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
