She was predeceased by: her parents, Laurie Karila and Impi Karila; her parents-in-law, Nathan and Mildred Hurlbert; her sister Shirley Lindfors; her siblings-in-law, Sven Lindfors, Brian Peltonen and Margaret Hurlbert; and her nephew Steven Lindfors.

She is survived by: her husband Rodney; her daughters, Stacy Heerema (Ron), Marcie and Michelle (Chris Hay); her grandchildren, Chris (Kristi), Matt (Tara), Braiden (Kourtni), Devon Heerema and Austin Banning (Jocelyn); her great grandchildren, Abbi, Zander, Huxley, Hensley Heerema and Asriel Therriault; her siblings, Eileen Smith (Roy), Margaret Karila, Donna Druhar (Steve), Karen Legarde (Richard), Clifford Karila (Marlene), Lorna Shafranski (Stan), Marie Peltonen and Joanne Novak (Brian); her siblings-in-law, Coreen Garrity (Terry), Fred Hurlbert (Connie) and Jim Hurlbert; and her caregivers, Jolene, Tyler and Alana. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
