Peter Wigwas Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peter Wigwas (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away on September 26, 2025 at the age of 49. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Samuel Esquega; his grandparents, Paul Wigwas, Martina Wigwas, Joseph and Agnes Esquega; his brothers, Nelson Esquega, James Esquega and Leon Esquega; and his cousins, Irwin (Dawg) and Paul (Coocoosh).
He is survived by: his children, Trenton, Dakota of Leila, PJ and Rhekea; the mother of his children Genevieve; his grandchildren, Rosey and Avery; his mother Edna Wigwas; and his siblings, Dondel Wigwas (Bella), Hubert Wigwas (Mertle), Roderick, David Thompson, Waylon Green, Martina Wigwas, Valerie Wigwas (Robert), Claudette Morriseau (David Maxwell) and Krystene Green. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Waverley Chapel (299 Waverley St, Thunder Bay, ON P7B5Z7). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Kateri Roman Catholic Church. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at the Community Cemetery.
