She was predeceased by: her parents, Enni Laaksonen and Einar Laaksonen. She is survived by: her husband Bruno Sunila; her children, Carina Barrie (Allen), Christine Drake (Scott Chisholm) and Carlo (Stephanie Block); her grandchildren, Benjamin and Clare; and her brother-in-law Rainer Sunila.
