He was predeceased by: his parents, Annechien and Hendrik; his sister Margret; and his brother-in-law Peter. He is survived by: his son Darren (Lacie); his siblings, Rebecca, Ria (Bert), Jane, Anne (Arie), Hank (Wendy), Jack (Caroline), Bill (Judy) and Chris (Alice); his brother-in-law Hank; and his parents-in-law, Koen, Jean Grootenboer, Jacqueline (Ralph), Lauri (Peter), John (Gertrude) and Patricia (Ted). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
