Randy Chorney Obituary

Randy Robert Chorney was born on June 6th, 1964, and passed away on June 27th, 2025, at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre with his family lovingly by his side.

Randy was known for his talent for fixing things — especially electronics and electric vehicles. He had a passion for watching movies with his family, with a range of tastes that spanned from cartoons like SpongeBob SquarePants and The Simpsons to horror icons like Art the Clown from Terrifier.

He found joy in life's simple pleasures: joking with his daughters or just sitting outside with a cold Budweiser.

Randy will be eternally remembered by the love of his life, Wendy. High school sweethearts, they met at 16 and spent 44 wonderful years together.

He leaves behind his son Brent (Danielle), daughters Paigelynne and Allison; his mother Leona; sisters Terri (Gord) and Joanne (Mark); in-laws Glen and Clara, Brian (Sherry), Donna (Mike), and Annette. He was a proud grandfather to Veronica (Kohl) and Keven (Haley), and great-grandfather to Violet. He was also a proud papa to his grandkids Jamey, Dominic, Rose, Anastasia and Jaxan from his bonus child, Cheyenne Cormier (Eric). He is also remembered by his nieces Mackenzie, Jasmine, Jamie, Eden (Matt), Audrey, and Amanda and nephews Ben, Kyle, Wesley, James and Daniel. He also leaves behind his beloved fur babies Weenie, Jax and especially Sherman who protected and devoted his entire dog life being Randy's best friend and protector.

Randy was predeceased by his father Thomas Chorney, brother-in-law Curtis LeRossignol and his best buddy Diana Allison aka Dazzy.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 27th 1-4 pm at the Army & Navy at 610 Simpson Street.
