He was predeceased by: his parents, Elgin Macey and Dora Macey; his grandson Travis Giertuga; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Anderson. He is survived by: his wife Katherine; his son Rob Macey; his grandsons, Shane Macey (Mint) and Alex Macey (Tyler); his son John Macey (Joelle); his grandchildren, Madison Giertuga (Dalton) and Juliet Macey; his stepdaughter Kristan Miclash (Manny); his stepgrandchild Kyle Miclash; his brothers-in-law, Carl Anderson and Ed Anderson (Joyce); Dale Axelson (Elizabeth), Sophia Axelson (Daniel) and Linnea Axelson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron's memory to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation, designated to the Northern Cancer Fund or the Lions Vision Care Centre, would be greatly appreciated.
