With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Giba (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away on December 21, 2021 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Eino Manty and Caroline Manty; and her siblings, Laura Falden, Frances Kivinen and Eric Manty.

She is survived by: her brother Carl (Bud); her husband Walter; her children, Darlene (Gary), Debra, Dan (Barb) and David; her grandchildren, Kelly Boyce (Nancy), Bryson Giba and Kirstin Banaga (Rommel); and her great grandchildren, Zachary Boyce, Taryn Boyce and Asher Banaga. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Should friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Options Northwest or to a charity of their choice.
