It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth Mary Ellen Merkley (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away on April 4, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ken Merkley and Eunice Merkley; and her sister Verna Merkley. She is survived by: her sons, Mark Bickmore (Angie) of Ottawa and Andrew Bickmore of Thunder Bay; her grandchildren, Miriam, Callia and Kaden Bickmore of Ottawa; and her sisters, Alice Morrison (Laird) of Thunder Bay and Jean Henshell of St. Joseph's Island.
During and after the pandemic Ruth frequently worshipped with her son Andrew at Lakehead Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northern Cancer Fund, Northern Hearts, or the Primate's World Relief and Development Fund (Anglican Church of Canada) would be appreciated.
