She was predeceased by: her parents, Augusti Kamunen and Hilda Kamunen. She is survived by: her husband Pauli Ala-Korpi; her son Tapani; her daughter-in-law Jill Alakorpi; her siblings, Arvi, Raimo, Erkki, Reijo and Martti; her cousin Kalevi; her daughter Tarja Shipston (Gerry); her grandchildren, Haley (Brenden), Kyle (Selena) and Ari Alakorpi (Adriana); her close friend Sirkka; and her siblings, Salme and Aarne (Kaija). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
