Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Sebastiano Sgromo (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away at the age of 93, on November 20, 2025. He is survived by: his significant other Ortensia; his children, Anna Mauro (Ron), John (Teresa) and Peter; his grandchildren, Jade and Jazmine Mauro; his great grandchildren, Sterling, Laiken, Julia, Kyle Kawahara, Johnny and Aly Sgromo; his grandson Sebastian James; and his siblings-in-law, Anita DeVito and Tony Currado. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Waverley Chapel (299 Waverley St, Thunder Bay, ON P7B5Z7). A prayer will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 9:50 AM and at 10:30 AM.
The family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers, baskets or masses, donations be made to St. Anthony's Building Fund for ongoing maintenance of the church.
