With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Lafontaine (Thunder Bay, Ontario), born in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, who passed away on December 9, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Amédé Lafontaine; her parents, Leon Michaud and Suzanne Michaud; and her brothers-in-law, Roland Brunet and Raymond Lafontaine.

She is survived by: her children, Gary, Danny (Tracy Ewasiw), Sherrie (Jason Hull) and Teejé; her grandchildren, Jolene Lafontaine, Victoria, Marina Lafontaine, Hailey, Reid Hull, Claire and Carter Appelt; her great grandchild Aspen Lafontaine; Charlene. She is also survived by the love of her life, the next 57 years with the love of her life.
