Susan Elizabeth Lee Obituary
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Susan Lee on March 4, 2025, at Southbridge Lakehead. Born on August 31, 1952, in Scarborough, Ontario, Susan was a woman of quiet strength, deep kindness, and unwavering love for her family and friends.
She had a way of making people feel at home, whether through her warm presence, her wisdom, or the simple joy of sharing a moment together. She found happiness in life's little things—a hot cup of coffee, a cigarette in hand, and the laughter of those she loved. She had a deep appreciation for creativity, spending time painting and drawing, sewing on her beloved sewing machine, and she never passed up an opportunity to soak up the sun.
Susan was predeceased by her eldest son, Sean; her parents, James and Katherine (née Bolton); her brother, Michael; her aunt Pat Purdon (née Lee); and her partner, Ray Turner. She is survived by her son, Patrick (Rose) and their four sons, Preston, Leon, Briggs, and Mickey. She also leaves behind Sean's children, Brandon and Danielle. Susan is survived by her brother, Robert, and her sister, Heather Carthew (née Lee) along with many others who will forever carry her love and memory in their hearts.
Services for Susan will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 at St. Patrick's Cathedral, 211 Archibald St. S. where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Msgr. P.M. Stilla at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be held in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre on Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. with vigil prayers being offered at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CAMH, Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of choice.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff and residents of Southbridge Lakehead for making it a home for Susan. Thank you as well to Harbourview Funeral Centre, Sunset Memorial Gardens, Public Guardian and Trustee, and many others who have helped along the way. Your kindness and support are truly appreciated.
Susan's love and spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May she find peace, comfort, and endless sunshine. We love you and miss you.
