Sylvia Cheryk Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia Cheryk (Thunder Bay, Ontario), born in Minnedosa, Manitoba, who passed away on May 18, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Matt and Thelma; and her siblings, Mary, Anne, Margaret, Helen, Stella, Antonette, Mike and Eugene.
She is survived by: her significant other Everett Barrett; her close friend Everett Barrett; her children, Len Cheryk (Edie), Cindy Wrigley (Stan), David Cheryk (Kim Hagen), Nadine Cheryk (Blair MacNeill) and Mike Cheryk; her grandchildren, Catherine (Chris), Jamie, Steven (Zhen), Stacy, Christine (AJ), Jennifer, Ashya, Matthew, Nathan, Jasmine and Patrick; and her great grandchildren, Lucius, Victoria, David, Anthony, Alexander, Logan, Oliver and Daya. She is also survived by loving mother and doting "Baba" to her grand children and great grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19 gathering restrictions, a private family service will be held on Wednesday May 26, 2021 in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street.
Should friends/family so desire donations can be made in Sylvia's memory to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Patrick's Cathedral, Thunder Bay, Ontario.
