She was predeceased by: her husband Kauko Kormano; her sister Vuokko Porri; her niece Hanna; and her parents, Hilja Nieminen and Veikko Nieminen.

She is survived by: her children, Pekka (Darlene), Hannu (Siru), Annamari (Fernando) and Matti (Pamela); her grandchildren, Christopher, Stephanie (Stefano), Hannele (Warren), Heleena (Matthew), Ari (Michelle), Mikko, Elias and Samuel; and her great grandchildren, Mattia, Aleksi, Torey and Emmett.
