It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Veneranda Nunziata Cavezza (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away on August 25, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Felice; her son Nick; her parents, Nicola Perna and Maria Perna; her siblings, Lucia Silvano and Michele "Mike" Perna; and her daughter-in-law Cathy Cavezza.
She is survived by: her children, Rose (Chris) and Lou (Tammi); her daughter-in-law Linda; her grandchildren, Chris (Krystle), Anthony (Shauna), Cassandra (Jean Yves), Ryan (Stephanie) and Jennifer (Stefan); her great grandchildren, Luca, Kaleb, Sawyer, Aria, Hayden, Easton, Henry and Elena; her siblings, Immaculata Foglia, Antonio Perna (Teresa), Bart Perna (Jackie) and Caroline Vacchiano (Antonio); and her sister-in-law Giuseppina Napolitano (In Italy). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, donations made in memory of Veneranda to St. Joseph's Care Group or the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre Foundation would be appreciated.
