It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Vincent Gernat (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away at the age of 79, on November 19, 2020. He was predeceased by : his parents, John Gernat and Susan Gernat of Upsala; and his siblings, Joseph Gernat, Andrew Gernat and Irene Wirove.

He is survived by : his children, Tracy Larocque (Allen) of Ignace, Melissa Gernat (Geoff) of Thunder Bay and Vincent Gernat Jr. of Innisfil, ON; and his brothers, Lawrence Gernat (Olga) and John Gernat. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions, attendance will be by invitation only.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the TBRHSC – Northern Cancer Fund.

“So sorry to hear tonight from Wes of the passing of both Vince and Andy .... that's a lot at once ... my thoughts are with you all. Diane - Hugs Sent Vince a fb message some months ago after Isobel and I had been reminiscing .... he didn't answer and I thought probably not into fb a lot. He stopped by the Garden Park on Simpson last year when I was there talking with a couple of ladies. He was on his way by to the bait place out the highway to pick up minnow. Love to all Margaret”
