He is survived by: his wife Roxanne; his sons, Michael and David (Lacey); his grandsons, Carson and Axel; his siblings, Lorne (Kerry), Loreen Holt (Allan) and Darlene Robinson (Doug); his mother-in-law Mitzi Goodie; his siblings-in-law, Pat Ludwig (Floretta) and Karen Knoll; and his brothers, John Whitehurst (Chris) and Arthur Meyer (Donna). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Wayne may be made to the Northern Cancer Fund.
