He was predeceased by: his wife Dianne Katcher; his siblings, Sargie, Niell, John, Alec, Walter, Leo, Vera, Mary and Nadia; and his daughters, Penny and Nadine.

He is survived by: his son Jaimie; and his grandchildren, Savanna, Ashley, Michelle, Cherise, David Jr. and Nathan.
