He was predeceased by: his parents, William Kitching Sr. and Marguerite Perry; his stepfather Harry Perry; his brothers, Rene Kitching (Buddy), Jim Kitching and Michael Kitching; and his cousin Dennis Laprade.
He is survived by: his wife Helen; his daughters, Melanie Peterson (Bill King), Cheryl Kitching (Bernie Ouellet), Linda Plank (Fred Plank) and Stephanie Kitching; his grandchildren, Miranda Kusznier, Nick Kusznier, Jordan Peterson Kelowna (Noelle), Michael Kitching Ireland (Tia) and Rebecca McKillop (Mitchell); his great grandchildren, Sophie and Beau McKillop; his sisters-in-law, May Kitching and Marie Kitching (Montreal); his siblings, Donald Vester, Nonie (Marvin Rowe), Russell (Ruth Vester), Margaret (Albert Mayer), Norman Vester and Janis Shaw; Ralph and Thelma Vester.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel (21 Court St N, Thunder Bay, ON P7A4T4).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
