He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Opdecam and Margaret Opdecam (Lesage); and his sisters-in-law, Morley Dillon, Leata Dillon, Shirley Lindsay, Chuck Lindsay, James Dillon, Annette Dillon and Paul Dillon.

He is survived by: his spouse Pauline Opdecam (Dillon); his children, Margaret (Tim Felix), Lisa (Andrew Horton), Michael (Kim Opdecam) and Mary (Stuart Murray); his grandchildren, Kirstin Felix, Carter Felix, Cooper Horton, Addisyn Opdecam, Brycen Murray and Dalton Murray; and his siblings, Leon Opdecam of Tillsonburg, ON., Marcel (Marlene Opdecam) and Langton (Patricia Dillon). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
