He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Beaman and Ola Beaman; his former wife Carol Ann; and his brother Bob. He is survived by: his wife Gail; his sons, Tim (Elaine) and Michael (Antje); his stepchildren, Marc (Julie), Jeff (Hiroko) and Susan (Mark); his grandchildren, Carissa (Derek), Lynae, Cole and Matthew; his great grandchild Eliana; his sister Nancy; and his sisters-in-law, Ruth, Donna Jean and Janet Lee. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
