He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcel Vanexem and Julia Vanexem (Wils); his mother-in-law Agnes Vandenberghe; and his sisters, Andrea Delporte, Gerarda Hurkens (late Pete) and Louise Van Ooteghem (late Ralph).

He is survived by: his wife Josie Vanexem (Catlack); his children, Terry Visosky of Tillsonburg and Brenda Sawers (Gary Sawers) of Millbrook; his great grandchild Jess Sauka; and his siblings, Simone Verhulst (late Etienne) of Belgium, Esther Van Ryswyk (Pete) of Tillsonburg, Mary VanRyswyk (late Harry) of Tillsonburg, Godelieve Duyck (late Chris) of Tillsonburg, Andrew Vanexem (late Paula) of Hagersville, Paul Vanexem (Carol) of Ingersoll and Joe Vanexem of Tillsonburg. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
