He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Ethel Dorais (Wilson). He is survived by: his daughter Carmen; his grandsons, Jason and Justin Clayton; and his friend Debbie Morgan.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gilbert can be made to the "Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital Foundation" through the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes, Tillsonburg.
