He was predeceased by: his wife Mollie; his parents, Adam Kessler and Anna Lemche; and his siblings, Sepp "Joseph", Hans "John", Adam, Tony, Frank, Barbara Reuter and Annie Friedrich.

He is survived by: his son James (Jimmi) of Ottawa; his sister Leny Wilson of Tillsonburg; and his grandchildren, Jillian and Koral. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Donations in memory of Heinz may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Donations are being accepted for: HEART STROKE FOUNDATION ONTARIO (HEART AND STROKE FOUNDATION OF ONTARIO).
